Our North Pole Experience

This weekend we went up to my parent's cabin in Flagstaff to go to the North Pole Experience.  It was a lot of fun and we LOVED the cooler weather!

I had a bit of a mommy fail because I thought I was purchasing tickets to The Polar Express through Livingsocial, but couldn't figure out why they were so inexpensive.  We drove to Williams, unloaded, and then realized we were in the wrong place!  Oops!  We rushed back to Flagstaff but I knew we would be about 10 minutes late.  I tried to call The North Pole Experience multiple times, but had to leave a message.  I also messaged them on facebook and e-mailed them, but didn't hear back.  I finally got a call from a really sweet girl who realized that we had reserved a spot for two wheelchairs and she hadn't seen us check in yet.  She got us on a bus, even though we were late, and took such good care of us.  She was amazing!  I am so very thankful for her!

The kiddos had a blast and loved seeing Santa.  Though it wasn't what I had pictured our day looking like, the kids really had fun and I was glad we went.  Next year I will be making sure I get the right tickets though :).  Here are a few pictures from our fun....

Sometimes Life Really is Just All Fun and Games!

I feel like all I've been doing lately is posting about appointments, because, well, we've had a lot lately.  I promise, though, lots of time life around here is just all fun and games!  Smiles, giggles, lazy family movies on the couch.  It really does happen, and it's wonderful!  This weekend we went to my parent's cabin in Flagstaff to spend some quiet time as a family.  It was wonderful to get out, and it was also Ramya's first trip to the cabin, which was a lot of fun.  She really had a blast, as did Conner and Madi.  The weather was beautiful and we got lots of rain.  We didn't do a whole lot, which was just how we wanted it, but we did go to Bearizona for our first time.  Here are a few photos from our Bearizona visit...

Enjoying sitting in Conner's booster while we slowly drove through and saw the animals....

Just hangin' out!

We took an open bus ride and had a blast!

The kids loved all the animals!

Sledding at SNOW!

Yesterday we went up to my parent's cabin in Flagstaff to spend some time in the snow.  We didn't have long, but we did have a BLAST!  This morning we went sledding.  My parents had bought a little sled at a garage sale for Madi that worked amazingly!  She had soooo much fun in it and it gave her enough support that she was able to go down the hill by herself.  The kids are already asking when we can go again :).  Here are some photos and a video of our little adventure...

Our Snow Adventure

My parents have a cabin in Flagstaff and we went there to go sledding over the 3 day weekend.  We had a BLAST!  Just thought I'd share some photos :).

(Yup, that's a giant snow ball in his mouth :))

She wanted to sled by herself, so I took her up just a couple feet and she sledded down !

Happy Fourth of July!

This year for Fourth of July, we went to my parent's cabin in Flagstaff, as we do most years.  We had a nice, relaxing weekend, and it was great to have a change of scenery.  My parents, my older brother, and my sister-in-law came as well, and we had a lot of fun spending time with them.  We even ate a yummy Thanksgiving in July turkey dinner.  We are so very blessed!  Here's a few (ok, ok, more than a few) photos from our little getaway...

Looking for tadpoles (we didn't find any...)

The only decent photo I've had taken of myself in a very long time!

Showing off their Fourth of July outfits.  Madi's came from a great local consignment store, Hissyfits, and Conner's shirt was made by Joyful Tye Dies.

At the farmer's market and arts and crafts show

 Showing off their dance moves

In Williams, attempting to ride the train (apparently there were only rides on the 2nd and 3rd, not the 4th.  Oh well, there is always next year.)

You can see round 2 of Madi's 4th of July outfits here.  This is Conner's shirt from last year, combined with her skirt from last year.  Last year the skirt was too big, and this year, it fits great!

Today we came back to the cabin to see our crazy dog, Titan, running of the roof of my parent's cabin!
