Madi Turns 7

On Wednesday Madi turned 7!  I cannot believe how big my "baby" is getting.  She is such an amazing, smart, spunky, joyful girl.  I am so blessed to be her mom!

We had Madi's birthday party early on October 30th.  Normally I wouldn't have it so early but we were needing to find a rental in Tucson and start moving.  I wanted to celebrate early so that her birthday didn't end up right in the middle of the craziness.  We had a costume party and it actually worked out great!  Madi had SO much fun!

On her actual birthday I let her chose where she wanted to go to dinner and she chose Panda Express.  She knows how to party ;).  She enjoyed her dinner and we topped it off with gluten free vegan donuts from Urban Cookies.  Yum!
Here are some pictures from her special day (please excuse how blurry they are.  I couldn't find the charger to my regular camera

We made swords, did crafts, and did makeup, all per Madi's request

We had her party at the park this year since our house is up for sale

Even Hope joined us :)

Happy birthday beautiful girl!

Conner Turns 7!

My big guy (I called him my little guy today and was told it was not ok, unless we were in a restaurant....) turned 7, and I just cannot believe it!  Time sure does fly!  I am so glad I spent all those hours rocking and holding him, because I sure miss being able to do that now.  Thankfully he is still sweet and cuddly with his momma.  He is such a fun kid.  He's always wanting to figure out how things work, he loves creating new things, and he has a great imagination.  He is very sweet to his sisters (usually ;)) and is a great brother.  He is a very caring and loving boy!

Conner requested a Pokémon birthday and wanted to go to Laser !uest with friends for his party.  We decided to have a family party and then a friend party.  He was a little bummed he had limited invites to his party, but had a ton of fun.  His friend party was on Sunday (last week), his family was on Monday, and his actual birthday was on Tuesday, so he loved that he got to celebrate three days in a row.  Here are some photos from his birthday...

The family party...

His funniest gift at the family party... Poo Pourri from my brother and his wife.  And yes, it really works!

Conner told me he wanted a Pokémon cake, but I had no idea how to make that happen.  Thankfully Michaels sells edible sugar sheets, so all I had to do was use their edible markers, draw Pikachu, cut him out, and put him on the cake.

Laser Quest Friend Party....

They surprised him by spraying him with toilet paper (new, thankfully ;))

Happy birthday to my amazing boy!!

A Ballerina Party for a Princess

Today was Madi's friend party.  She had picked a ballerina theme, so we decided to have a small, girls-only party so that they could learn a little dance.  My friend, Vanessa, from Church taught them a dance to a cute song that Madi likes from one of her Tinkerbell movies.   They loved it!  Here are some pictures from Madi's special day.

Conner got to invite a friend, but they like super heros much better than ballerinas :)

Present time!  Yeah!

A silly (and pretty) goose!

I think she's concentrating really hard...

My Big Girl is 4 Today!

I cannot  believe my big girl turned 4 today!  I'm not sure where the time has gone!  Madi is such a smart, beautiful, determined, and amazing little girl.  Every second with her is such a blessing.  We love our little gal so much!

Here are some pictures from her big birthday day.  She requested a Blues Clues party, so a Blues Clues party she got!  I got the bright idea to have her party at the park, since I wasn't sure when I'd be headed to India to bring Ramya home and it seemed much less stressful.  Of course, a cold-front came in and it was seriously freezing!  I am thankful that we have so many amazing friends and loved ones who came out to join us anyhow.  We are very blessed!

I'm 4!  I may tell you I'm turning 5 1/2, but mom says too bad so sad, I have to stay 4 for a while.

Blues clues suckers for centerpieces

A Blues Clues birthday cake, of course!  This amazing cake was made by my wonderful sister-in-law kim.  It tasted just as yummy as it looks!
