Cinderella with Hope Kids

Last weekend we went to Cinderella with Hope Kids.  The kids were super excited to go.  Seeing plays with Hope Kids was one of our favorite things to do in Phoenix and we were so excited to be able to go to a play with Hope Kids in Tucson.  The kids thought the play was hilarious and are still talking about it.  We can't wait to see more!

Races with Hope Kids

(As you guessed, I'm still catching up)

A few weekends back we went to the car races at Tucson Speedway with Hope Kids.  It was the first car race the kids had been to and they really enjoyed it.  Madi was hoping to have someone to cheer for and met a man before the race that was standing by his truck.  She decided she wanted to cheer him on.  She took her job very seriously and cheered her heart out.   Later he found her and gave her a hat.  It was really sweet.

We are SO excited that Hope Kids has started offering more events in Tucson.  If you are looking for an amazing organization to donate to, please consider Hope Kids.  They really touch so many lives!

Power Up with Hope Kids

I'm so far behind on updates I'm not really sure how to catch up, so I think I'll just post a few highlights and try not to get so behind next time.

Last month we had an event  called Power Up with Hope Kids to raise money for their Tucson chapter.  Tucson Hope Kids were matched with power lifters, who performed routines and raised money for Hope Kids.  The girls were matched with two power lifters, Sally and Whitney.  They asked if the girls would come out on stage and dance with them at the end of their routine.  They had SO much fun!  They are still talking about how they got to go dance on stage.  Here are some pictures from the event...

We love Hope Kids and are so glad they are hosting more events in Tucson now.  They are such an amazing organization!

On Arizona Gives Day (April 7th) Choose Hope Kids!

We love being part of Hope Kids and a great opportunity has come up for you to help support this awesome organization!  I'll paste the information below...

I want to quick share a way for YOU to help bring HOPE to up to 600 HopeKids family members. On Tuesday, April 7th, we are joining together with other non-profits across Arizona by participating in Arizona Gives Day,  which is a 24 hour campaign to raise money for charities in Arizona.  On April 7th, you can choose to support HopeKids, through making a donation.  We have set our goal to raise $2,000 in one day, which will be enough to sponsor our June private movie screening & provide laser tag, bowling, and arcade games after the movie.  Alone, you are one person, but together we can have a huge impact in the families we serve on this one big day of giving.  Please click the link for more details and to make your donation to help sponsor our June movie:  https://azgives.givebig.org/c/GivesDay/a/hopekids

If you are looking for a place to give, please consider Hope Kids!  Thank you!

Support HopeKids and Help Bring Hope Today!

HopeKids is an amazing organization for kiddos with serious medical needs and their families.  They offer family events, visit children in the hospital, check in with families, send encouraging letters and notes to their kids and families, send regular e-mails that are uplifting, and really go above and beyond to bring hope and love each of their families.

For so many families it's easy to get caught up in the appointments, the hospital stays, the therapies, the insurance battles, and all the "extras".  Sometimes life is crazy and you simply don't have time to plan a fun event for your family.  Other times, medical bills are piling up and you don't have the extra money to get out and do something fun.  The fact that HopeKids provides amazing events free of charge to it's members is HUGE and really does make such a big difference in so many lives.

HopeKids has a new program called Hope 365 where you can sponsor a Hope Kid for a year.  This provides that child and their family with FREE events to lift up their spirits.

In addition to helping provide Hope to these families, you can also help them reach their goal of 50 new families.  Once they reach that goal, they will be given a matching grant of $18,000!!   To receive the entire $18,000 matching grant they need to acquire 50 new monthly donors by December 15th.  Currently they have 23 friends of HopeKids who have stepped up to support us in this way, which is AMAZING!  They need 27 more new friends with just over 3 weeks to go to reach their goal.  Signing up is simple. Go to www.hopekids.org/hope365.

We are proud to have two HopeKids, and are also proud to be able to help support the work that HopeKids is doing.

Hope truly is a powerful medicine!  I hope you will consider sponsoring HopeKids today!

Join Team Double Trouble as we Walk for HOPE with HopeKids!

This year, in addition to walking in the walk-and-roll for Spina Bifida, we will also be walking with Hope Kids!  Please consider walking with us, or donating to Hope Kids in our girl's honor.

Hope Kids is an amazing organization that we LOVE!  They put on amazing events for families that have little ones with serious medical needs.  They bring families HOPE during their times of trials, and are an amazing support to those families and children.  Please help us bless them, as they have blessed us!

Hope

I got this in an e-mail today from Hope Kids and thought it may encourage someone out there.  Enjoy!

A Daily Inspirational Message From Rob Cottrell

Hope

Hope is knowing that a positive outcome awaits and being okay that it might look different than you thought.

Hope is not only expecting a dream to come true, but having a deep assurance that it's within your reach.

Hope is knowing that you can't, but that God can.

Hope is knowing that God loves you more than you could ever imagine.

Hope is realizing that you don't need to know all the answers, God already does.

Hope is looking to the future with joy and having expectations of better things to come.

Hope is knowing that miracles still happen everyday.

Hope is something that never abandons you. Even when your life is filled with sadness and disappointment, Hope is a spark remains inside to help you get through the rough times.

Hope is often beyond our understanding but always real and true.

Hope is one of God's greatest gifts to you, because it's the magic that inspires you to keep living.

Hope is a very powerful medicine.

Thank You Hope Kids, Next Coffee and the Arizona Cardinals

Today we went to a Hope Kids event at Next Coffee for an event with the Phoenix Cardinals.  Big Red and # 89, Ben Patric, entertained the kids and read them books.  They also gave them shirts, signed kid's footballs, and cardinals backpacks.  Next Coffee provided milk and cookies for the kids (of course one book they read was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie... one of my favorites!!) too.  It was so much fun!  Thanks to everyone who put the event on for our kiddos!  If anyone needs a WONDERFUL organization to donate to, Hope Kids is it!
