I occasionally check the traffic that comes to our blog.  I can see how people searched for the blog, and I just love this search.  It's so nice to know that I'm not alone!!

 

 

Helping Others Adopt

Adoption isn't for everyone.... and that's ok.  If everyone had the same passions, a lot of things would go undone on this earth.  We need people in missions, taking care of animals/running shelters, helping battered/abused women, and the list goes on (and on and on and on ;)).  Adoption may not be your passion (or maybe it is), but you can still make a HUGE difference in paving the way to help others adopt.  If you do not personally feel called to adopt, but still want to help, there are so many families fundraising that can use your financial assistance.  Here are a few of those families:

The "Longer" Version of How We Found Ramya

Here is the longer version of our adoption of Ramya (we made the video for Church :)) and how it all began.  Enjoy!!

For those of you wanting an update :)

So do I!  I'm just teasing, but when people ask me what the news is, I often think, "Yes, what is the news, I'd love to know!".  It feels like we go so long in between updates ourselves, and all the wondering, waiting, and longing is hard on this momma's heart! 

I do have a small update, though not an amazing one.  Prianka (our adoption coordinator at WACAP) e-mailed me and let me know she heard from the orphanage.  They still do not have Ramya's passport, but are thinking it will be in their hands the 3rd week in February.  It's not exactly the news I have been waiting to hear (can you tell I am anxious ;)), but I am thankful to have some sort of direction on when we can expect for me to travel.  Please join me in prayer that the passport will come sooner, so that I can travel mid-February, if not sooner!

I am also getting nervous about traveling and leaving the kids behind.  I've never spent a night away from both of them at once.  The only time I've been away was for hospital stays.  I know they will be in great hands and that David will take good care of them.  We have so many wonderful friends and family close, they will be well-loved.  It's just really hard to think that if something happens, or someone needs me, or someone just a little momma time, I will be 22 hours away, on the other side of the globe.  Please pray that this time away will go smoothly and quickly, and that no one will get sick or hurt.  Pray for no seizures for Madi and no hospital stays while I am away.  Please also pray for patience, energy, and peace for David.

My Little Man is Growing Up!

Conner is growing up so fast!  It seems like I was just pregnant with him.  This month he had a birthday (6), lost his first tooth, AND asked to/started sleeping in his own room (he has had his own bed, but he and Madi's beds were in our room, and we were ok with that ;)).  Here are some photos of my big guy and his Star Wars birthday party...

That's How She Rolls!

Madi was very resistant to going in her mobile stander.... until we had her stand backwards in it!  She can get up close to everything now and loves having that freedom. Here's a few photos of her using it:

A Tiny Little Adoption Update, but an Important One!

I just heard that last week the orphanage applied for Ramya's passport!  What does that mean?  It means that at any time within two weeks to two months, I will get a call saying I can bring my baby girl HOME!  The orphanage thinks it will take a month.  The adoption agency thinks it will take two.  I'm praying I have her by her birthday (March 7th).  Please join me in that prayer, and give a little prayer of thanks for how quickly the orphanage was able to apply!
